Big Brothers Big Sisters
To whomever it may concern
I am a student at Woodstock Collegiate Institute and am interested in being a mentor at Big Brothers Big Sisters. I was very excited to find a placement where I could mentor and build relationships with kids. I really like that some mentors become close friends with the people they are mentoring.
I love working with kids! I have worked at Central as a teacher’s assistant and mentor, I am a volunteer teacher assistant for a Sunday school class, have occasionally babysat for neighbours and have helped with Vacation bible school so I have had quite a bit of experience with kids. I have six siblings. I am privileged to have two older sisters and a wonderful mom and dad to go to if I need support or help, as well as a younger sister who I support and mentor when she asks. I would love to give the same support to kids in the community. Listening to, and supporting people is something I enjoy. I have excellent attendance and believe I would have the qualifications to mentor. I am excited to help our community and believe mentoring individuals at Big Brothers Big Sisters is a great opportunity to reach out to the community.
I have enclosed a resume with further information about myself and my accomplishments. I am about to start my second semester of grade twelve at Woodstock Collegiate Institute from February 9th- June 27th.I will be available Tuesday to Thursday from 4:00 pm until 6:20 pm. I can be contacted at (519)-475-6411 or email address quinabbi838@gotvdsb.ca I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Sincerely,
Abigail Quinn
